A Legacy of Love, A Family’s Promise

Mikita Getahun Deguye

(July 2012–Dec 2017)

Born July 26/2012, Mikita has brought giant happiness to the family until the dark day she has encountered with Children Brain Cancer (DIPG). Her little heart was full of loving, caring, kindness, and generosity that made her be friend of Adults and wiser to her younger batches. She greets everyone on her way, made her sit at anyone around in a hotel to ask about them, and feeding security guards from her school pack every morning before leaving to school is among her un erasable memories.

Losing her was not only about Mikita, but to the world needing love and kindness to nurture. Monster Cancer left us empty, and she's gone too soon at her 5th, but we are here to celebrate in warm feelings to continue her legacy. We love her and we love to do what she loves to do most.

Here is what she loves to do if she was alive. Helping children and families who are passing through same way in prayers and fundraisers. Named after the late precious baby girl, Mikita Foundation is here to be there for the needy in kindness and care. The grave sorrow was compensated. God is good every time.
